Cadu, Fer, and Thi have been friends for twenty years, since their school choir days. Each of their lives has taken a different path, but they've remained friends and stayed in touch. Cadu, who works in finance, invests in contemporary art and acquires an Immaterial Sculpture, whose digital certificate (an NFT) cost a small fortune. He invites Fer over to his place and boasts about his visionary acquisition. Fer, a hip advertising executive who considers herself a friend of the arts with no prejudice against contemporary art, is nonetheless a little taken aback to learn how much money was invested in the piece. Unable to hide her disapproval, she has a falling-out with her friend. Reconciling the dispute — or not — falls to the third friend, Thi, the least successful of the trio, who still lives with his mother and works as a call-center operator. But what begins as a debate over ideas soon shifts into personal territory, dredging up old wounds and calling into question the very friendship between them.
An unpublished text by playwright Anna Toledo, "Disruptivo" freely draws inspiration from the work of Yasmina Reza and the artistic provocations of Yves Klein and Salvatore Garau, as well as the debates sparked by the rise of crypto art and NFTs, to explore the spaces — visible or not — that separate us, and what still holds us
