MUSIC PRESENTATION / PERFORMING ARTS
Fanfarrinha ZaPina is a musical show for the whole family that celebrates the songs of Brazilian popular culture with live music, stage presence, and intense audience participation. The show weaves together tradition and contemporaneity to offer the audience a quality artistic experience that is accessible and deeply affecting.
With an acoustic marching-band lineup — trumpet, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, tuba, and drums — the production highlights wind instruments as the protagonists of the sonic and visual scene. Musical direction, arrangements, and original compositions are by Eramir Neto. This configuration brings the audience closer to the physicality, timbre, and stage presence of these instruments, historically associated with community practices, processions, and popular celebrations.
On stage, the clown Mirta ZaPina revisits songs passed down orally across generations — such as "Ciranda Cirandinha," "O Sapo Não Lava o Pé," "Peixe Vivo," and "Canoa Virou" — linked to collective children's games. Popular sayings and rhymes broaden the audience's experience of listening and identification, reaffirming orality as a central axis of Brazilian popular culture.
Interaction is the heart of the show. The audience is invited to sing along, dance, play, and recognize themselves in the stories and sounds that span generations, turning each performance into a unique experience of connection and affection.
